Breed of the Week: Butters the French Bulldog

Based on your votes, this week's Breed of the Week features Butters the French Bulldog, or Butters the Frenchie for short!

A French Bulldog on a Sapien Swingset.
I tried doing this once...but I was way too big!
Butters the Frenchie currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area. We've known each other since we were very young and I am about five months his senior. Follow his life here: Butters Fan Page and on Instagram. He has a ton of amazingly adorable pictures and videos.

Frenchies are misleadingly little bundles of energy. While Butters himself looks one-third of my size, he actually weighs just as much as I do at nearly 30 pounds! My fur definitely hides my tiny torso. Frenchies are very high-energy, stubborn, loyal, and last but not least, STINKY! Butters was known to be very flatulent as a young pup, but he has since been less so, which is great for my nose!

This breed is very affectionate and will constantly want their sapiens' attention. A few precautions need to be taken with this breed, however. They are susceptible to heat stroke and need to be protected by their sapien. Provide shade and give lots of water!

Another interesting fact is that French Bulldogs are not able to breed naturally, and their birthing is mostly done by c-section! I have not known too many breeds were this is the case.

Butters and I recently met over the 2012 Holiday season and boy did we have fun romping around the house.

Here's looking at you, kid!

Butters also happens to be my cousin-from-another-species. We have had many encounters over the past two years, and many more are sure to come. Here is a video from our first encounter. I thought the music was very fitting.

And here is another video of one of our confrontations at the beach:

Any Frenchies out there? It seems like we fight a lot, but we're just having fun, so speak up! I won't bite, but I may bark!

I really like it, I have also a blog which is related with you, which is about Frenchie breeder ohio.
It is recommended to buy a puppy from your closest dog breeder as it would be more flexible in case of any emergency.
There are online books and magazines available on pets and animals which can be helpful to find out knowledge about the dog breed which you are looking to purchase.

  11. The French bulldog's legacy is anything but difficult to recognize dependent on its numerous physical qualities. It has a smooth coat and un-trimmed tail which is straight naturally.French bulldog coats
