Q: What breed of dog am I?

A: Out in the wild, I've been confused with multiple breeds of dogs. The initial impressions is that I am a Samoyed or a really BIG white Pomeranian. In fact, I am neither! I am an American Eskimo Dog which is in the family of Spitz type dogs. There are 3 different versions of my breed, but I am a standard size. Q: Are you a boy or a girl?

A: This is the second most misconception about me! I am a boy.

Q: How much do you weigh?

A: I'm not that big! The fur is misleading! I am about 33 pounds right now.

Q: Are you friendly?

A: I am definitely friendly with all humans, so my sapiens will encourage you to pet me. Children will always need permission from their parents, though! I get really excited around dogs right now, but once I get a sniff, I calm down pretty quickly.

Q: Do you know any tricks?

A: I do! I've learned about 20 tricks so far, and I am very easily trainable with dog treats and positive reinforcement. See here for my first set of tricks:

Q: Do you shed a lot?

A: You can't imagine how much I shed! I shed year-long, with the biggest blow out occurring towards the beginning of the summer. I don't require daily brushing, although it is recommended. In a pinch, twice a week will suffice! My sapiens are very lucky they have off-white carpet!

Q: Have you ever gotten a furcut?

A: Only minor trims! I have a double-coat which regulates my heat, so my sapiens just let my fur grow free and wild. They do trim around the paws, though. I do tend to get knots in my for, so for the impossible ones, they will try and cut those out.

Q: What do you like to do during the day?

A: I like to lounge and breathe in the outside air. I like to talk to my neighbors constantly when I hear them moving around. Fetching my stuffed potato has become a new passion of mine recently. I also enjoy travelling with my sapiens.

Q: What do you eat?

A: For my meals, I eat Taste of the Wild. I've been trying out multiple flavors, but I like Pacific Stream the most! For treats I enjoy Bunny Farms Organic Carrots and have a variety of snacks. I'm ashamed to say, but I am addicted to Greenies.
