It's that time again! This is the fourth edition of Sepia Saturday, and I wanted to thank all the participants for joining up and sharing their stories! I'm looking forward to some great ones this weekend!
We have been having some strange weather in the San Francisco Bay Area. I know that my friends over on the midwest and east have been dealing with the Polar Vertex (hang in there, everybody!), so I am sorry that can not enjoy the record-breaking mid 70 degree weather here.
Unfortunately, we're also seeing probably one of the driest years beginning, so that is definitely something I am worried about.
But for now, we will just have to take the small moments and enjoy what we can, including the beautiful sunset above, toned in sepia for your pleasure. Let me know about what kind of weather you're experiencing and how you're getting through it in the comments below!
Special Announcement: Join the new Thursday Blog Hop!
Thoughtless Thursday
Thoughtless Thursday is a blog hop for posts that you have sitting in your draft box but you're not sure when to share it! Share it here, it's ready!
"Don't think, just link!"
My first linky list will go up Thursday 01/23/2014! Hope to see you all there!
Woof,
It has been horribly hot here with the awful Santa Ana winds... even in So Cal I'd like some cool weather in the winter! I can't wait for Thoughtless Thursday and I love the badge ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you! My mind was pretty thought-free when that photo was taken so I thought it was the perfect fit!
DeleteLove this picture! TGIF! :)
ReplyDeleteSpencer
I'm hoping there is some rain coming to give you some relief! Your photo is gorgeous and I am sooo happy that you have a new Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteNice quality photo Ruckus my pal.

Ruckus, I love that photo in sepia! It looks so cool. We keep praying all of you in CA will get some rain! We keep hearing about the fires...
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday,
Oz
What a beautiful picture! Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunrise in sepia. We are in the polar vortex and I hate it. I don't mind a small amount of snow but this freezing cold weather I hate. The dogs do enjoy the snow so I need to quit complaining and enjoy it with them. Have a great saturday.
ReplyDeleteHi Y'all!
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautiful sky!
Don't have anything in the draft box or the back of my mind either...since for the most part my blog is a diary. Have a fun time with your new blog hop on Thursday!
Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Wow that looks interesting! We sadly can't take a photo outside, think we need a scubacam first with our horrible rain. Have a great saturday
ReplyDeleteAmazing photo :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I realized that was the sky I was terrified. That's what growing up in Tornado Land does to you. Awesome photo though…just looks like some nasty weather is coming.
ReplyDeleteSnow today. I think it may have stopped for the time being.
ReplyDeleteThat photo is beyond cool!!! Be safe, heard California is having some super strange weather
ReplyDeleteWhat a pawesome picture! The weather has been pretty scary, or so momma tells me. It's been changing so much from what has been considered 'normal' everywhere.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting pic! Don't worry about us being cold, we love winter and wouldn't trade it for warm weather in a million years. It will be warm again soon enough...your crazy winter pal, Emma
ReplyDeleteYou are a really gifted photographer! We are expecting more really cold temps and snow again. I teach school and the elementary students are even sick of snow!
ReplyDeleteThanks Danielle! My sapiens are quite handy with the camera
DeleteWe live in every sunny AZ lol
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset indeed. It's been freezing over here in Canadaland.
ReplyDeleteSorry we missed the hop this week - busy weekend! Beautiful picture though!
ReplyDeleteNo worries! What were you doing this weekend? Did you see the football game?
DeleteI think a bit of your warm weather would bring our temperatures out of the danger zone. Our wind chills today are off the top as well! But that's a good old Minnesota winter for you!
ReplyDeleteWe finally got our first snow -- schools closed for 2 days. And COLD -- I can't remember the last time we were in single digits.
ReplyDeleteA sky shot to remember! Can I send you some of our rain; I have a waterlogged lawn and it's on a slope.
ReplyDeleteWell aware of the severity of your CA drought, worse than what we ever experienced when we lived in the Placer Foothills. We left CA in 2005 and now live in "arctic"...so it has been this winter. Atill even though we could not depar south this winter and looks like we are stuck, prefer our excessive Polar Vortex Redux with snow to the abundant water we will enjoy all year. Saw TV photos of Folsom here on national news and feel badly for CA. Your photos are very intriguing.
ReplyDeleteWe visited San Francisco in the summer and I think the drought was well under way then. Great memories of the place, drought or no drought.
ReplyDeleteIt is an interesting photo showing weather to come or that which is leaving. It has been unusual weather here in the United States.
