  3. Torn dew claws are a nasty wound. Our huskies were very susceptible! There's definitely lots of blood for sometimes just a little owie- like when humans get hangnails! Yours looks pretty severe. I hope it heals up quickly, Ruckus!

  5. Poor Ruckus. Your human is brave for cutting it off. I used to hold doggies down so the vet could do this when they broke their nails. I used to hate it so much and would squinch up my face! I'm sure the doggies hated it more though.

  7. Oh Ruckus,
Hope your feeling better. Mum always worries about my "thumb" nails too, they seem to grow so fast and catch everything.

  12. Big ouch! Been there, done that. Gracie used to have a front nail that, after breaking once at the base, would continue to break every 8 weeks or so. Couple of trips to the vets and then I learned how to treat, but was always so painful for her. Just never would heal up properly, despite my vets and my attempts. Finally...knock on wood...finally seems to have healed correctly. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
