What to Name your Dog? Top Dog Names

Some of us when we first bring home our companion(s) already have names picked out for your dog. Others dogs will already come with names say through adoption or change of ownership. When you have the opportunity to name your dog/puppy aka new best friend ...what should it be?
Here's a list that may be helpful to you--whether you are planning for a popular "pupular" dog name or if you want to avoid calling out "FIDO" and having 10 dogs at the park run towards you:

I'm looking at the list below and I definitely do not see the name "RUCKUS" listed anywhere.
Here's a background story to how RUCKUS received his name. His breeder mentioned to us that when this American Eskimo was born and raised under their care, they watched his behavior and noted that he was actually quite mild-natured. The name RUCKUS was written on his paperwork by accident as it was supposed to be "ROMPERS" due to his bunny like nature as he hops around as a pup.
Now, I tried calling out Rompers but it didn't seem to work so Ruckus it is.

DIY Easy Pet Stains Removers Recipes by Zowie Ashton

Can you imagine how our carpet looks with a pet like this?!

DIY Easy Pet Stains Removers Recipes
Special Guest Post byZowie Ashton

I’m guilty of being a dog-person. I have two full grown pit bulls at home and I occasionally foster dogs and cats from the local shelter. Of course, my dogs are potty trained, they’re not messy and they are even trained to help me with the housework. On the other hand, the pups and kittens I foster come from all sorts of places. Some of them are traumatized and more often than not, I have to deal with all kinds of ‘accidents’ on my carpet. Dealing with number 1 and number 2, mud, vomit, etc. is something I’ve done for so long that I can recite the most efficient pet stain removers in my sleep.

I used to struggle a lot before becoming this competent in the fight against pet stains. I used to buy all kinds of expensive market products (most of which contained so many toxic chemicals that they could have easily killed Snow White were they injected in the apple). In time, I slowly became aware of the fact that nature proposes natural solutions all my pet stains problems. And yet, many of my friends still stick to the harmful market-bought cleaners and deodorizers containing a cocktail of harmful chemicals. That’s how I decided to sum up my knowledge and reveal the easiest (and cheapest) DIY recipes for pet stains removers. Try them – I promise 100 percent success.

#Soda and vinegar solution
This cleaning and deodorization solution is particularly efficient against blood and urine. Vinegar is ideal cleaning solution to all stains – it will help you remove both fresh and ancient stains. Baking soda, on the other hand, will help you deodorize any surface. I call soda nature’s deodorizer because it can really deodorize anything. For this recipe you’ll need 2 cups of lukewarm water, 2 cups of white distilled vinegar and 7 generous teaspoons of baking soda; use a spray bottle to spread the solution effectively. Whatever the accident (and surface you’ll be cleaning), use a cloth to absorb all liquids first (remove particles if you’re cleaning vomit or feces). Then spray the solution generously, put old newspapers on top, a book on top of the newspapers, and place yourself on top of the book – the more pressure you apply on the area, the more likely the stain is to come off. Let sit 5-10 minutes and wipe clean. Vacuum if needed to remove soda particles.

#DIY enzyme cleaner
While you might have heard about the market-bought enzyme cleaners which will dissolve dirt and eliminate it on a molecular level, it’s actually quite easy to create an enzyme cleaner yourself; you’ll need a lot of time, though. You need a big jar, water, 7 tablespoons of brown sugar and 1 cup of orange/lemon peels and 1l water. Put everything in the jar and screw on the cap tightly. Shake the jar and unscrew the cap slightly. In three months’ time, your enzyme cleaner will be ready.

#Salt and dish soap solution
This DIY cleaning solution is ideal if you want to eliminate vomit stains. Since the acid from vomit can quickly cause considerable damage to carpets or upholstery, it’s pivotal that you act immediately. Wipe clean the area and use a dustpan to remove big particles. Mix 2 cups of warm water, 1 tablespoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap and ½ cup of vinegar. Dip a sponge in the cleaning solution and rub the damaged area; you might need to do this a several times. When the stain has come off, blot dry the area with a towel.
