Happy Thoughtless Thursday everyone! This is a throwback to how disgusting Ruckus's toy can get. Ruckus has a huge box of toys, but his go to toy is a squeaker off the fishing pole. I am tempted to throw it out but this little bugger would be heart-broken.

How do you cope with old toys? Do you try to repair or wash them? Or do you rid them?

Out of sight and out of mind?

See the full review of the Kyjen Tail Teaser.

  1. We usually toss them. I have sewn up a few, but they usually get destroyed again! Ours always get washed since a "certain dog" tends to slobber.

  3. Not sure if my comments are going through or not?? It depends on how much of a favorite it is...I will usually try to wash them and repair if it is a real fave!!

  4. Hehe that sure is loved. It's hard to part with favorite toys, especially if it will be missed so much!

  6. If pieces start coming off, they go in the garbage. But I usually have a new toy waiting so that Sadie doesn't get too sad over the old one. And coincidentally I talked about a teaser on my post today too!

  7. Repair and then at a certain point they go to the toy place in the sky. Bailey gets very attached to his toys. Katy not so much. At 10 he's managed to keep toys he got as a puppy in decent shape. At a certain point no amount of thread can repair and they disappear.

  9. Aww!!!! There are a couple fav toys we have here that I know once I have to throw them out, my huskies will be searching for them!!! I do my best to repair and wash them, but once they are just to far gone, time to toss.

  10. I tend to wash and sew up toys that are Mauja and Atka's favorites. If it's not a favorite, it gets tossed!

  11. It depends on the toy. The ones we'd like to eat, Jan tosses. Otherwise, she figures we killed it, we can live with it. We think she should buy us new.

  12. They always love the most disgusting ones!! I wash them until they fall completely apart and then I toss them. Sammy has been carrying around all that's left of her bunny toy...a single ear!

  13. Since we make our own dog toys we use them until they are all worn out and then just make more!

  14. Momma hasn't had to really get rid of any of my toys yet, except for the few we've taken to Poppa's house that Honey has gotten (she is the ultimate destroyed of things...). I'm pretty good with all my things!

  15. Beamer only loves the gross toys. He has no interest in his new ones :P
