Thoughtless Thursday #21: Would You Like To Know Your Pup is Thinking?

Don't even think about it!
I think everyone's had their moments with their canine. You know, the ones where you're fuming and screaming. Or when you're just disappointed. You just have to wonder, what was my pup thinking??

We've had our share of these incidents with Ruckus when he first arrived in our home. He was potty-trained, but definitely had his moments of excitement. Stains on the carpet ensued periodically throughout our journey together until he became more comfortable with his new living arrangement. Even then, it would have been nice to know what he was thinking.

I came across this article months ago, describing a device that can translate canine thoughts into human speech! Wouldn't it been wonderful to have heard "I'm so excited, I'm about to pee!" so that we knew to let him out immediately?? Or even, "I can sense a dog's presence, I'm going to bark NOW!" before he's even had a chance to start excitedly pulling on his leash?

That is the aim of The Nordic Company's Device entitled: No More Woof. It is a very cool concept but also a scary one. What if my dog thinks I smell? I don't want to know!

Would you like to know what your pup is thinking? Did you back this project? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Happy Thoughtless Thursday everyone!

  1. Wow...I;m not sure I would want to know what my pup was thinking all the time, but occasionally I would like to know why they do certain things! :-)

  2. I have to agree with Dory and the Mama on this one...on occasion it would be fun to know just exactly what the girls' are thinking. But, there are other times, I don't think I need to know! :)

  6. Well, we were thinking that would be interesting but what dog wants to be told to shut up before he starts barking? :)

  9. OMD ... I don't think I want Prince to have this. I can see it now! Mom, Mom, Mom ... I need to go potty. Mom, Mom, Mom ... I'm hungry. Mom, Mom, Mom ... theres a bird outside. I could go on and on. His whinning for food is bad enough. The thought of him being able to vocalize this need for bacon is terrifying. BOL!
