Sepia Saturday #49: Just a Dog and his Bocce Ball

Good, solid, clean exercise for your pup. Probably not something you want him to fetch with, though!

Sepia Saturday #46: This Sepia Saturday is Brought to You by Grilled Lamb Chops!

These turned out nice and rare. Bathed in salt and pepper, garlic, olive oil, and rosemary, the aroma filled the back yard. Ruckus MAY have had a taste, but shhh, don't tell!

Sepia Saturday #44: American Eskimo Waiting for his Humans

"It's okay my humans, I'll just wait here for you while you finish lunch. Don't worry about me."

"Oh, and have a Happy Sepia Saturday!"

Sepia Saturday #43: Beaches still in October!

If you would have told me a few days (weeks? months?) ago that we'd still be going to the beach in the middle of October, I would have called you a liar! But looks like it's still warm in Half Moon Bay, CA, and there are a lot of people visiting the pumpkin patches along Highway 92. This might be our last beach trip of the year!

Happy Sepia Saturday, everybody!

Sepia Saturday #39: Ruckus the American Eskimo visits Half Moon Bay!

Ruckus had a great time at Miramar Beach in Half Moon Bay, CA. There were a lot of pups and even more jelly fish stranded on the beach. It was quite an experience!

Sepia Saturday #38: The Castles of the Rhine

While Ruckus didn't make it out with us, we got to visit Europe in an epic trip. Here is a shot of a castle on the Rhine River in Germany. I couldn't tell you what this one was called because there are SO many of them on either side of the river. It looks very serene in sepia.

Happy Sepia Saturday, everybody!

Sepia Saturday #36: SQUIRREL?

Ruckus, like most other canines, are quite alert when it comes to squirrels. Here is a profile pic as Ruckus stares intently at the little rodents scurrying about the Yosemite Valley trails. It even looks like his fur is raised in anticipation! One day you will catch one, my friend. One Day.

Happy Sepia Saturday!

Sepia Saturday #35: Panting and Sweating Our Way To the Top

There are some steep inclines to traverse at Mission Peak in Fremont, CA. Make sure you go early and bring a lot of water if you wish to tackle this mountain! You get to see a good amount of wildlife here and also hear the cacophonous mooing of the cows hidden behind trees. Where are they?!? At some point, we will find them!

Happy Sepia Saturday!

Sepia Saturday #34: Classic Auto Shows Look Great in Sepia

These majestic, classic vehicles look right at home in the sepia tone. The only thing that would give this photo away is the nice parking asphalt  (and also the tech building in the background). This was an auto show and BBQ held in San Jose, CA at the Silver Creek Sportsplex.

For more photos, check it out on Facebook.

Happy Sepia Saturday, everyone!

Sepia Saturday #33: American Eskimo All Washed Up and Ready To Go!

After a long day at the beach in Carmel, it doesn't hurt to pamper Ruckus and ourselves by getting him nice and clean and free of all the sand and grit. It takes us about an hour to get him rinsed, shampooed, conditioner'd, brushed, and dried. How long does it take to wash your pup?

Happy Sepia Saturday!

Sepia Saturday #32: Watching the Wake

In Berkeley, CA, hiking along the San Francisco Bay Trail. We took this photograph from right before the bridge over Interstate 580. If you are ever in Berkeley, head on out towards the Marina for some good outdoor fun.

Happy Sepia Saturday, everyone!

Sepia Saturday #31: Would Have Been My Insect Friend

I thought this would be a great friend that would turn into a beautiful butterfly. Little did I know it is a tomato hornworm that turns into a five-spotted hawkmoth. Blech!
