Sepia Saturday #38: The Castles of the Rhine

While Ruckus didn't make it out with us, we got to visit Europe in an epic trip. Here is a shot of a castle on the Rhine River in Germany. I couldn't tell you what this one was called because there are SO many of them on either side of the river. It looks very serene in sepia.

Happy Sepia Saturday, everybody!

  1. What a beautiful castle! Sounds like a wonderful trip!

  2. Wow!! That castle is so cool!! :D Great shot!

  3. Hi Y'all!

Oh you are so right about "many"! They are everywhere, all over Europe! Some still have moats and, if they allow tourists, cannons displayed at the gun ports.

Europe is amazing. They don't tear down old cities and old buildings. They preserve them.

My Human used to love traveling there, even though it was for business. It's a different world, especially if you stay in the old town section.

  10. Europe is covered in old churches and castles. After living there for a while you don't even notice them much. Our favorite was Neuschwanstein because it was a nice place to walk.

  11. This pic is Fantastic in Sepia! I took a cruise down the Rhine river once & drank too much wine. There were so many castles, I could have sworn we were going around in circles seeing the same castle over & over - LOL!
