Are Persimmons Safe for Dogs?

Safe or Not?
My sapiens received some organic persimmons and decided to do some research to figure out if persimmons are safe for dogs. They have training in veterinary medicine but I still wanted to share their collection in this process. Citations as noted.

Not too long ago, I was contacted by BarkBox to partner up for a fun campaign. Of course, my tail started wagging so hard, it knocked off everything around me.

In Honor of Fashion Week: Birchbox + Ann Taylor Shopping Event

An Eskie's Yelp:

Birchbox + Ann Taylor Shopping Event (Palo Alto, CA)

Welcome to the last day of Fashion Week! Well, technically my sapiens and I are celebrating from the West Coast given that Fashion Week takes place in New York City, USA. This intense and exciting New York Fashion Week (NYFW) event started on September 5th and ends on September 12. From there it travels across the pond to London, Milan and finally makes its last stop in Paris.

Who's your Water Buddy?

Review of August BarkBox 2013: Item 4 of 5
Ruckus Report: Aussie Naturals Floatie "Dolphin"

I received this creative water toy in my August 2013 BarkBox edition and wanted to share my thoughts on it. This is my first BarkBox, and the Aussie Naturals Floatie Dolphin was the one big toy that it came with.

PROS:

Aussie's Naturals mission is to create green and earth friendly pet toys and gear. They use jute, wool, cotton, coconut fiber, natural gum rubber and leather. Their products have been tested on their own dogs and with rescue groups in Georgia.

They carry products for both canines and felines! There are about 14 toys they have listed on their website just for us pups. The Aussie ones listed are: Aussie Floppies, Aussie Lobbie, and Aussie Wiggly. What fun names!

Quack Quack "Wise Treats for Dogs"?

Review of August BarkBox 2013: Item 3 of 5
Ruckus Report: Plato Natural Duck Strips

Quack quack! Oh, do I love chasing down birds and ducks. Not only are they fun to chase around the park and pond, but they are also delicious! I do have a confession. Sometimes I love them so much that I like to lick their waste product too! *ashamed*

Pizzle means WHAT now?!

Review of August BarkBox 2013: Item 2 of 5
Ruckus Report: Barkworthies Bully Flakes Food Topper

Have you ever felt a loss of appetite? Sick of the same old dog food with the same old taste? I certainly do at times. My August BarkBox came with something quite intriguing: Barkworthies Bully Flakes used as a food topper. This product is meant for the picky eaters and is used to help stimulate an appetite.

PROS:
Barkworthies Bully Flakes Food Topper are basically your typical bully sticks shredded for your own convenience. I have actually never had Bully Sticks before so I never knew what the ingredients contained!  This treat is actually very convenient since my sapiens like to feed me and rush off to work. So, they want to make sure that I can eat my morning meal. Sometimes my taste buds needs a little jump-kick on the appetite so it ends up being a fast way to stimulate it. The Bully Flakes here are grass-fed, free-range pizzle from FDA-approved Brazilian cattle. This topper is all natural and 100% digestible with no extra additive, chemicals, or preservatives---all of which sounds amazing to me!

Review of August BarkBox 2013: Item 1 of 5
Ruckus Report: Primal Pets Freeze Dried Liver Munchies

Yum! Look what I discovered not-so-well-hidden with my dinner meal tonight! I knew my sapiens were being a little sneaky in the kitchen today. I had an eventful day at the dog park today so it was time to nourish myself with some crude proteins.

I can really smell the delicious turkey liver through this bag!
One piece is about this size
