Even I can bear such fact... this coming from a person who lives in an Asian country where there are still provinces that have people who eat dogs. Fortunately for us, here in the city, dog meat trading is banned and fined.

I think it's a lot more worse in China and Vietnam because they do not see dogs as pets, but rather as commodities. It's not that they are innately evil. It's part of their culture and belief. It's even more disturbing how one of China's provinces cook dog meat as a delicacy and they have a festival for it held once a year.

If I had my own way, I would stop dog meat trading and eating.
haopeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03946911658176885397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1439253048139161878.post-88025865966573249822013-10-10T17:56:28.336-07:002013-10-10T17:56:28.336-07:00I heard of this as well, however, this will not be...I heard of this as well, however, this will not be happening anytime soon for us!!! I even remember watching a documentary about it once. But my heart doesn't want to accept it as a reality. The worst part is feeling like there's nothing we can do to stop it.
I've even heard about something much worse than bludgeoning the animals - I've heard of them being skinned alive. I cannot fathom this extreme brutality. I don't want to believe that human beings are capable of such evil - but we know that they are. I do respect other cultures, but I don't have to respect every practice.
Heavy stuff today, Ruckus... but thanks for posting it. Maybe with more awareness, the world will speak up and we can start pressuring these countries to stop these atrocities.Pam | Words With Wienershttp://wordswithwieners.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1439253048139161878.post-25698933458232665782013-10-10T07:38:17.982-07:002013-10-10T07:38:17.982-07:00I couldn't eat dog. And I'm one of those people who raises chickens as pets, but still eat chicken.Fleahttp://dogtreatweb.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1439253048139161878.post-35046063724902640192013-10-10T05:28:45.792-07:002013-10-10T05:28:45.792-07:00Happy TNT. The idea of killing any living being to feed another living being is challenging for me to grapple with. But I'm a meat eater, my body does really well on meat protein. I tend to choose which meats not to eat - I don't eat lamb, duck, buffalo and certainly wouldn't eat dog! It's not something that makes sense in my own head and I've thought about it a lot without many answers as far as what I really stand for... I try to understand different cultures as well but feel it's absolutely wrong to kill dogs for food and hate the killing of elephants and dolphins. Ay, it's too much for my brain!BoingyDoghttp://boingydog.comnoreply@blogger.com
