It tries to be, but it just isn't trying hard enough! :) There are a lot of places where we're not allowed to go. We are right smack in the middle of America, so no ocean beaches to be banned from. There are quite a few lakes in the surrounding areas, but I have to admit that I have no idea if dogs are banned from any of those or not. I don't *think* so, but not certain.
I hope the proposal doesn't pass and you'll be able to enjoy all the freedom that you always have!

P.S. That gloomy beach photo is just amazing! I hope you don't lose your freedoms in SF, we don't live close to the coast here in the East, but when we visit, I notice dog times on beaches are pretty limited at most of them. I hate to see freedoms taken away, when it should be going in the other direction! If we endanger wild life then what about the humans? Their behavior is usually much worse than ours, especially human children. What wildlife are endangered? If it's turtles just close the beach for their breeding period.

I live in a wildlife preserve. I walk on the beach all the time. I've learned not to chase the wading birds. The ducks and geese usually just ignore me. I swim and retrieve and they sit and watch. We also have an abundance of turtles...big water turtles.

If humans don't train us to behave their human children are going to do greater damage to wildlife areas. It's always the irresponsible humans who spoil it for us pawed ones!

Y'all come by now!
Hawk aka BrownDog

P.S. Maybe seasonal limits if it is to protect breeding. They tried to limit access of snowmobilers, hunters and hikers to some National Park areas here in Michigan. Many of us wrote comments during the comment time to tell them how important it is for people to be able to access these areas and they did not go through with it. 2browndawgshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15792375606466389228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1439253048139161878.post-78145869143400303402013-10-02T22:33:18.017-07:002013-10-02T22:33:18.017-07:00That's too bad they are thinking of limiting a...That's too bad they are thinking of limiting access - I hope they are reasonable about it.
